The next phase of the finish system is to properly maintain the coating. This is
a simple step that should not be overlooked. We recommend using a special cleaner
and protectant annually that will revitalize the finish. These are simple wipe on
products that will prolong the finish and increase the service life of the coating.
It is also a good time to inspect the coating for any blemishes, dings, scratches,
etc. so they can be addressed before they cause any further damage to the timber.

Our Opaque Colored Finish system is similar to the Translucent Stained Finish mentioned above. The main difference is the coloring of the Window & Door timber to a solid tone similar to paint. We feel this is a better system than a painted finish, as it can be maintained over the years to extend its life. Another benefit is the flexibility of the finish, which allows it to move with the wood keeping the bond intact with the surface.
